Greater Lynchburg Community Trust

Celebrating 40 Years

byline1

The Greater Lynchburg Community Trust will be celebrating 40 years of service to our communities in 2012.  Our organization was established in October 1972, and we have come a long ways over 40 years.  Since our founding, generous donors have given $29.1 million to The Community Trust.  This has enabled us to provide grants totaling $11,657,789 to help those in need and to support the arts, education, and historical preservation in our area.

We have formed a steering committee to oversee our 40th Anniversary Celebration, and they are hard at work planning events and developing initiatives to commemorate our milestone.

Quillian, Jr., our first executive director, as our featured speaker!   There will be other events in the coming year with a final celebration on October 18, 2012 at Lynchburg College.
